The Pod can adjust the water temperature circulating within its system to 55°F to 110°F (13°C to 43°C), providing a wide range of comfort options.

  

**Does the temperature of my room affect the temperature the Pod can reach?**

While the Pod offers a robust temperature control system, it's not intended to fully replace your home's heating and air conditioning. The ambient room temperature influences the Pod's effectiveness.

*   **Cooling:** If the room temperature is significantly hotter than your desired sleep setting, the Pod might not be able to reach its maximum cooling capacity.
    
*   **Heating:** Conversely, in very cold rooms, the Pod might not reach its highest heating potential.
    

Therefore, when using the Pod, it's essential to consider your home's overall climate and heating/cooling system. The Pod functions best as a supplementary comfort solution, working alongside your existing climate control system to achieve your ideal sleep temperature.

To support your sleep, the Pod transitions across four different phases of temperature each night:

*   **Bedtime:** temperature your Pod stays at until you fall asleep
    
*   **Night:** temperature your Pod turns to after falling asleep 
    
*   **Dawn:** temperature your Pod reaches at the end of the night
    
*   **Alarm** (optional): temperature your Pod will adjust to if you have a Thermal alarm enabled
    

  

You can indicate your preference for each phase on the Eight Sleep app. Additionally, Autopilot will make some further small adjustments while you sleep to maximize your recovery time.
