The Base

The Base fits easily between your mattress and bed frame. The Base only adds 3" to your setup when in a flat position. The Base can also be used standalone as a bed frame if you choose to add the adjustable legs that are 8” or 13” in height.

We've tested a wide variety of mattresses and bed frames. Your mattress will likely work with the Pod. See below for more guidance.

**Cover Compatibility Guidelines**

The Pod Cover fits easily over your existing mattress.

*   Currently, the pod is **not compatible** with Murphy Beds, Sleeper sofas/futons.
    
*   The Solo Pod can work with a split mattress.
    
*   Beds with storage under the mattress should be compatible as long as the bed isn’t at a steep angle for long periods.
    
*   We do not recommend Purple Mattresses as the hot temperatures may warp the Purple Mattress and void warranties.
    
*   The Sleep Number with adjustable firmness may not be compatible. Other standard Sleep Number mattresses will work.
    
*   Memory foam works with the Pod, however, it may not reach the coldest temperatures as efficiently as other mattresses.
    
*   The Pod works with a mattress depth of up to 16”
    

\*Earlier Pod 2 and earlier had a depth of 10”-12” and may have required a mattress encasement with a zipper attachment.

  

**Base Compatibility Guidelines**

*   The Base is compatible with most bed frames and mattresses.
    
*   The Base is not compatible with split mattresses. The Base cannot lift each side individually. The only case where the Base elevates each side independently is for automatic snoring reduction.
    
*   We recommend adding the legs if your bed frame has bowing wooden slats
    
*   We recommend adding the legs if you have a metal bed frame, as the Base will work, however, it’s prone to sliding on the metal frame
    
*   The Base can sit on top of box springs or divan bed bases
    
*   We recommend foam, latex, or hybrid mattresses. We do not recommend spring mattresses
