**For Pod 3, Pod 4, Pod 5, and Pod 6**

During the set-up process, you will have to grant the app permission to connect to your Hub via Bluetooth. Pod 3, Pod 4, Pod 5, and Pod 6 are compatible with 2.4 GHz and 5G networks.

Once permission is granted, you will then see a flashing blue LED light at the bottom of the Pod, which means the Hub is in pairing mode. You can then proceed with setup.

**For earlier Pod versions (Pod, Pod Pro, Pod 2 Pro, Pod 2)**

During the set-up process, you must connect the Pod’s Hub to your home Wi-Fi network.

A few helpful tips on the pairing process:

1. You will have to click out of the Eight Sleep app and go to your phone’s Settings, and select Wi-Fi.

2. In Wi-Fi, you are looking for Eight-XXXX (the X’s represent a unique 4 character combination of letters and numbers. In the example below, it is Eight-BXEN.)

3. Please note these Pod versions do not connect to 5G networks.

4. During the pairing process, the [Hub light will blink different colors](https://eightsleep.kustomer.help/en_us/what-do-the-hub-light-colors-mean-on-the-pod-BJ8UePrkB) as it connects.

**Troubleshooting**

If your Hub is not flashing blue, it is not ready to pair. Please push the large button on the back of the Pod’s Hub for about 15-30 seconds, until it flashes blue. For Pod 6, there is only one button, so please hold it down until you see the light flash blue.
