**Pod 4 or later**

Members with an active Autopilot plan will automatically receive a Maintenance Insert refresh every 6-7 months to maintain your Pod. The filter is located on the water cord of the Cover. **Pod 3 or earlier**

The only routine maintenance required for your Eight Sleep Pod is the seldom refilling of the Water Reservoir with approximately 2 liters of tap water. We recommend refilling the reservoir with tap water for optimal performance and compatibility. If you are concerned about your country's tap water, you can use distilled water. If you'd like, you can occasionally drain and refill your pod or add 16oz (454 mL) of 3% hydrogen peroxide. Chlorine and other cleaning agents should be strictly avoided, as they can compromise your Pod's functionality and material integrity. Using any cleaning agents will invalidate your warranty.

  

**Maintenance**

We recommend enabling Daily Maintenance for your Pod. This feature will perform a daily health check to ensure your Pod is performing at peak performance. It includes removing air bubbles and ensuring the water is properly circulated. 

To access this feature, follow these steps:

*   Open the Eight Sleep app and navigate to the menu option in the top-right corner
    
*   Click on the image of your Pod
    
*   Tap "Maintenance" 
    
*   Toggle on "Daily Maintenance" by clicking on the toggle bar. A blue toggle indicates Daily Maintenance is turned on
